Some of Florida's finest saltwater fishing occurs in the waters right there at the Sanibel Lighthouse Pier. If you rent a boat, this area has some of the best back country flats. But the pier works perfectly for near shore fishing using light tackle. The views make it angling at its finest.

Florida's Fishingest Fishing Pier It makes lots of sense to bring all the varieties of bait and see what is biting today! Being successful on a Florida Fishing Day means fiddler crabs, worms, shrimp, sand-fleas, and anything else that might work. You can get all the live fishing bait at the Bait Box on Sanibel Island.
