Disney events are a family tradition
The special events seem to be the best way to go if you can time it for your Disney trip. We are going to the magic kingdom park for the Boom Festival, a big thing during October. Mickey has his own little party and it's a great place to trick-or-treat. Bring the kids, because this is their show.

You are a VIP on your birthday at Disney!
A couple years ago I went to the Magic Kingdom on my birthday. That by itself would be no big deal however my family members told the girl at the entrance gate about the birthday situation and she asked me to go to the front concierge. There they gave me a sticker and a button pronouncing that was my birthday. Throughout the day all sorts of Disney employees did neat kind of things for me because it was my birthday. It was a very special treat.
