The best little vacation island in Florida
Anna Maria island is my favorite place in Florida. What a special little beachtown, loaded with beach bars and a couple of really neat fishing piers. Bicycle riding is the preferred mode of transportation and you can ride it all away down to Longboat Key. You need at least five days to tour and do all of the fun things in the area and all the water sports activities.

You need a good two weeks to take the ultimate trip here. Yes, it takes time to explore the zillions of cool spots, beach bars, and take in all the live music spots. We went boating on all the days the weather was sweet, that adds way more sightseeing options and boater friendly stops to explore.
