What about the parking for the event?
The parking is not horrible with all the garages in downtown. I like the idea of having a designated driver and pick up person. If you have somebody in your family that you can call them coordinate that, wow, like a free taxi. Otherwise, the parking is part of the issue of any major event even the Super Bowl.

For the next Gasparilla Invasion we suggest having a driver drop you off and pick you up. It works great, if you have a friend or volunteer to help you out. If not, make sure you check the parking in the newspaper Gasparilla Guide. Once you arrive it is time to enjoy the beer and rum cocktails in honor Tampa's most famous pirate, Jose Gaspar!
