Where is the best beach in St. Pete?
What is nice is all of the free parking. We like to go to the end, an area at North Beach. On this end you get a natural beach zone, prime for walks, shelling, and swim play. Except in the channels, all are shallow waters. It is worth the drive to enjoy the public piece of paradise.

Nightly St. Pete Beach Sunset Celebrations

The big gathering is at Fort Desoto, the best place to watch the sunsets in St. Petersburg is here. You should go to North Beach, so travel to the west and then all the way up the beach access road to the northern tip. Then park in the parking lot there, it is huge. No issue with parking at all at Fort Desoto.
